Dr. Osman Firatli and His Stargardt Disease Treatment Method
Doctor Osman Firatli graduated from Istanbul University Medical Faculty in 1982. After 15 years practical experiences in various public hospitals and clinics; he has founded FIRATLI Laser Medical Treatment Center (Firatli Clinic) in 1997.
Dr.FIRATLI has focused on the treatment of Retinal Dystrophy Diseases and Unexplained Infertility during his career. He has developed a unique method using Electro-Acupuncture Therapy with Electro-Stimulation principles. He has developed new approach to the acupuncture applications by developing new acupunture point combinations and using these combinations for different patient types. This approach enabled using various combinations also for the Electro-Stimulation options and gave way for different approach to any kind of Retinal Dystrophy Disease, including Stargardt's Disease, Retinitis Pigmentosa ,Macular Degeneration,Usher Syndrome, Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, Alport Syndrome.
In many International Congresses Dr. Osman Firatli has presented the successful results with medical proofs from University clinics and was one of the pioneer in development of Electro-acupuncture in Turkey (Firatli Clinic)

In Odyssey Akupunktur Kemer / Antalya International Acupuncture Congress in 2001 Dr. Osman Firatli has presented the following treatments:
- treatment of Exophthalmus ( bulging of the eye anteriorly out of the orbit ) seen in Basedow-Graves Disease and infiltrative dermopathy with Electo-Acupuncture
- treatment of Strabismus with Laser in a patient with asthma
- treatment of a patient with Anovulatuar Cycle ( a patient who doesn’t have any ovulation due to the high levels of Prolaktin Hormones) with Electro-acupuncture

03 June 2007In the World-Congress 1-3 June 2007 in Barcelona/Spain ICMART 2007 World-Congress; Dr. Osman Firatli presented the Electro-Acupuncture Treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa (cone-rod dystrophy) , that promised a revolutionary success for gene therapies.
The outcomes were also published in spanish, french and english specialised press. Dr. Osman Firatli has been invited to lecture about his new stargardt disease treatment method in Spain, Germany, France and Cyprus.
